Cinderella and the Four Knights

Hey guys, I am back at it again with another posting. Y’all I have finally decided to watch a K-drama; I think it's kind of crazy that I just watched a drama after being interested in Korean entertainment for about three years now. I personally can not watch a television show episode that is over an hour long, because I believe that I should might as well be watching a movie. But it was one in the morning in the age of the quarantine and there was no way that I was going to fall asleep. So, I proceeded to watch all sixteen episodes of Cinderella and the Four Knights on Netflix until the next morning when the sun rose.

So the show follows the life of Eun Ha Won, a bright eyed girl that gets pushed into the expensive world of the Haneul Group and Kang family. Ha-won is asked by the chairman of the Haneul Group, Kang Jong-du, to “turn his grandsons into decent people”. The chairman’s three grandsons are Kang Hyun-min, Kang Jiwoon, and Kang Seo-woo. Hyun-min is the eldest grandson and he is shown in the beginning as a playboy that gets a new girlfriend every week. Then, the middle grandson Ji-woon is what his grandfather calls a ‘thug’ and prefers to be a loner. Lastly, the youngest which is Seo-woo, who is a well known musician and singer; he is my favorite character and he is the sweetest and most adorable one. The show also covers the story of the Haneul Group's secretary, Lee Yoon-sung.

This was the very first Korean drama that I have watched the entirety of, and I can say that I really enjoyed the overall show from the characters and their development to the overarching plot. Personally I would recommend this drama, especially since good television is becoming harder to find as the age of quarantine rolls forward. My favorite episodes are thirteen and six. Episode thirteen you get a lot of cute couple moments mixed with a lot of drama. In Episode six, you get to see Lee Jung-shin of CNBlue, who plays Seo-woo in a girl’s school uniform.

So this is my first K-drama review, and I hoped you liked it and I will probably be posting more of these due to Netflix, Hulu, and Disney+ being my only sources of entertainment. Thanks for reading, and stay happy and healthy.
