As you guys know I am moving post, so this was originally in the written during the height of the trend, so lets get into this.
Hi, I am going to join this little trend of unpopular K-pop opinions, but I am going to just talk about my opinions general. But for a disclaimer these are my opinions, so click off this post if you are easily triggered by differing opinions. Okay you been warned! Let's gets started.
1. I am losing interest in BTS
I know, who at the moment is not interested in BTS. But before the ARMY comes after me let me explain. I still like their music, but I am not as hard core as I used to be. Still believe that I am mentally married to Suga. But their music isn't as good as it used to be. To be completely honest I think Fake Love is one of their worst songs, and that they should go back to what they where doing before DNA and Fake Love. After BTS became prominent in the American market, their has been going down hill. And I miss songs like Fire, Not Today, and Blood Sweat and Tears.
2. YG is not doing as well as before
In the last few years, YG Entertainment isn't doing as before. Currently the company has been having idols dropping like flies. With 2NE1 and Big Bang being two of the top groups in the industry, been dismantled in the last couple of years. YG hasn't had as great record in the current years. While big artist like PSY and CL are leaving the company, and some artists been placed in the YG dungeon for years and have finally been given a comback (Winner). I understand that they are really into their music, but it shouldn't be years between combacks. There shouldn't be such a gap between albums to the point that the idols are worried too.
3. (G)i-dle should have never debuted
I think that (G)i-dle is a good group, their debut song is one of the best and they started off with a bang. I am not saying that they don't deserve the hype or success. But (G)i-dle is basically CLC, everyone says that (G)i-dle is more unique but they are doing the exact same thing as CLC. A (G)i-dle song can be a CLC song and the same the other way around. Yes, CLC is flopping but if Cube did better by them, I think CLC can be a powerhouse. But I don't understand why Cube would bring out two girl groups that are doing basically the exact same thing, when can have just one good girl group.
4. K-pop comment on non-Kpop videos
This is a personal issue that I have, I know there is freedom of speech and press. But I find this disrespectful when someone works super hard on their content, and the comments from K-pop fans that start commenting about K-pop that doesn't have to do it. I don't know it just annoys me personal, for example:
(Big Bang Theory intro starts playing)
commenter: OMG every time I see Big Bang Theory I think of the K-pop group Big Bang. I love G-Dragon! <3 <3
Me: (cringing to the point I pass out)
5. MR removed videos mean nothing to me
Watching MR removed videos aren't much of a thing anymore, but this is another thing that annoys me. Performance in MR removed videos doesn't equal the talent of the artist. All that these videos do is shows stamina. So stop hating on idols with not that great stamina, because dancing while singing all day is hard. So leave Rose of Blackpink alone!
6. Problematic Fans are making people hate K-pop
This is what most people that are normal K-pop fans say, but i don't have that much to say to about this. Problematic fans just act like K-pop is a last man standing game ( Hunger Games), and that every other fandom outside of their favorite group's fandom is beneath them. And with this insane behavior it is going to keep fans from joining the fandom. I understand that every fandoms have stupidly insane fans, but for means that the crazy people are the minority that speak the loudest.
7. People need to leave HyunA and E'Dawn of Pentagon alone
This whole situation is getting completely blown out of proportion, they both adults. Stop trying to petition E'Dawn to get kicked out of Pentagon. I have this feeling that people are attacking E'Dawn because is newer to the industry than HyunA. Also that HyunA is so high up, and fans know that so they decided to attack her boyfriend. I love idols alot too, but I have to break to some of y'all but you are not to marry or date your bais. It is just your dream and its never going to happen.
8. KARD's music is very repetitive
This is not that hard to understand this opinion, the tropical summer beats. All their soongs have the same feel, it's starting to get more boring, and now it's getting to the point that I don't even take time to listen to their comebacks. Why would you watch their comebacks when you basically know what it is going to be like because their songs sound the same.
9. Multifandom fans are the most reasonable fans
I truly this very opinion based, I just find it easier to debate with Multifandom fans than fans that stan one fandom. I don't mind people that stan one group, I think that when it comes to talking about pros and cons of groups is easier. Inserting a personal anecdote: I was talking to a friend about BTS, and I told them that I thought "Fake Love" is BTS' worst song and that the song was trying to be Blood Sweat and Tears. And they got mad, mainly because this person only stanned BTS, a full on ARMY. Showing my point!
10. Underrated groups are underrated for a reason
This something that underrated groups' fans need to understand, underraated groups are underrated for a reason. And the reason that they don't appeal to the market,I'm sorry but they don't. And stop making excuses, and when they break up you say how you deserve better. It so annoying!
